ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION SUCCESS
Castech Solutions is an international supplier of components and assemblies, specialising in castings, forgings, and fabrications who hold offices in Perth and China.
While Castech previously held ISO 9001 certification, it had expired. Recognising the importance of this certification as a testament to their credibility and commitment to quality, Castech sought to regain certification. However, they lacked the in-house expertise and resources to navigate the complex requirements of the process.
ISO 9001 Accreditation
Served as the Coordinator between Castech and the external auditor, ensuring seamless communication and understanding.
Played a key role during the audit by actively participating and providing necessary evidence to the external auditor
Internal Audits
Conducted internal audits to ensure staff compliance with updated processes.
Delivered information sessions to introduce new processes when required.
Staff Training
Conducted training sessions on using templated processes and navigating the new SharePoint Hub and MS Teams environments to boost efficiency and collaboration.
Database and Register Updates
Revised the training register and vendor database, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information.
Meeting Coordination
Coordinated Quality and Management meetings, including preparing agendas and recording minutes to maintain clear communication.
Process Development
Ensured every process was documented for clarity and consistency.
Updated 47 existing processes and developed 4 new processes to meet ISO 9001 standards.
Quality Manual Overhaul
Extensively updated the existing quality manual to align with all of ISO 9001 requirements, creating a robust framework for compliance.
Document and Form Updates
Standardised the style of all forms across the business.
Updated key documentation, including position descriptions, to reflect organizational changes.
SharePoint Migration and Optimisation
Migrated data from an older version of SharePoint to the latest version.
Implemented a SharePoint hub (Content Management System) with streamlined access to six business groups: Personnel, Administration, Job Control, Quality System, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
Created four new SharePoint registers for attendance, actions, issues, and feedback.
Migrated historical data for reference and optimised the database layout for easier navigation.
